National Park Aberdare

National Park Meru

Wildlife in Tsavo East and West is very rich, it inhabits more than 60 species of animals and more than 400 species of birds. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants bathing in small lakes that remain after the rains.

Amboseli

Amboseli is located 220 km south of Nairobi and according to many writers, it is the most beautiful place for safaris in Kenya. From here is possible to view the breathtaking volcano of Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) – the pride of neighboring Tanzania and the highest mountain in Africa.

Mount Kenya

Mount Kenya is the countries highest mountain (5199 m) and the second largest mountain in Africa after famous Tanzanian Kilimanjaro (5895 m). The Mount Kenya is the right place for climbing and hiking. The central peaks of twins Bathyal (5199 m) and Nelion (5,188 m) can be reached only with special climbing equipment.

The nature of this area is absolutely unique and has been declared the International Reserve by UNESCO. The zone of high mountains, not typical of the equator, has created several endemic species (81 species), animals and birds. Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano and its mountain base is 50 km in diameter. There was feverish due to volcanic eruptions about 3,1 – 2,6 million years ago.

Arabuko Sokoke Park

Arabuko Sokoke Park is located only 110km north of Mombasa and is the largest stretch of coastal forest remaining in Eastern Africa. The ecosystem is only 6 square kilometers and has three forest types, mixed forest, Brachystegia and Cynometra, each inhabitating many rare species of beautiful birds, butterflies, amphibians and plants. It is a great place for bird watching safari. The bird species includes Fischers Turaco, Golden Woodpecker and many others. The Clarke’s Weaver is endemic to the forest, while the Sokoke Scops Owl, Sokoke Pipit, and the Amani Sunbird and Spotted Ground Thrush may be seen. Arabuko Sokoke Park is located between Kilifi and Malindi, one hour drive north from Mombasa, 15 minute drive from Malindi and 10 minute drive from Watamu.
